DDOT 17th Otis Place to Randolph Street, NE Resident Letter
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is getting ready to conduct work in your neighborhood. The work may include repairs to the sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and/or wheelchair ramps at 17th Pl NE from Otis Pl to Randolph St. The work is set to begin on or around Tuesday, September 27, 2022, weather permitting.
It is estimated that this work will take approximately 14 days to complete. Construction is scheduled to take place Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Curbside parking will not be allowed in the work zone and parking restriction signs will be posted at least 72 hours before work is set to begin. The “Emergency No Parking” signs will provide details on operating hours, important dates, and information on the engineer in charge. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
Some repair areas may require the contractor to lay down new sod. DDOT is responsible for maintaining new sod for the first 4 weeks. After that, the property owner or tenant adjacent is
responsible for taking care of the newly laid sod. For best results, watering should occur every 2-3 days.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during the repair work. Should you have any questions or concerns, my contact information is listed below.
